A love for pizza created an ABQ staple
Chuck Ruiz has lived and breathed pizza as for as long as he can remember. Growing up in Hatch, New Mexico, pizza was considered a special treat. Chuck grew up with big dreams of owning a pizza shop. In 2019, Chuck purchased Richie B's Pizza Subs & Salads, and turned his dream into reality. Richie B's pizza sauce and dough recipes come from the original Richie B, who owns a pizza shop in Dothan, Alabama. Chuck took this concept and ran with it.
Innovating and reinventing what pizza can be
Chuck's very first addition to the menu was The Monster Slice. This 24" slice of New York style pizza instantly became the largest slice available in Albuquerque. From there, the ideas kept rolling. From a tamale stuffed crust pizza, to a Thanksgiving dinner pizza, Chuck and his team worked hard to continue innovating, while sticking true to their New Mexico roots, and love of a good New York style slice.

After outgrowing their original location, Richie B's recently moved to a larger space on the Westside of Albuquerque. Chuck and his team love Albuquerque, and make it a goal to spread the love to the community. Through collaborations with other restaurants, visiting and promoting local businesses on the Richie B's socials, or donating pizzas to local community events, it's no wonder Albuquerque has so much love for Richie B's Pizza!
